Introduction
This year, we planned to go GOA during Dussera Vacation instead of hometown at Bhubaneswar. My mother booked Indigo air tickets 2 weeks before the holidays which were available at affordable price. Then she used "yatra" portal to book hotels along with my father for the entire itinerary. My father also applied leaves from his office in advance.
30 Sep- 2nd Oct
Our flights were booked on 2nd Oct(Sunday evening 11 pm), so we started preparing during the weekend of 30th sep
My mother started packing and  took all essentials required for our stay in GOA. She stopped all daily helps to our home like maid, milk, newspaper for a week .We checked memory cards on our camera and smart phones and even took umbrella and a pair of winter clothes. We booked Meru car services , had dinner early and started early  to reach airport by 9.00 pm. Then we cleared checkin security for our baggages, got our boarding pass, security checks and waited near the terminal mentioned in our air tickets.We had little food at the airport and father used the time in going through few books at one of the book shop.The Boeing aircraft finally arrived and we reached GOA in an hour.My father completed reading one of the book half way and book marked it to read later on.
3rd Oct
We reached GOA airport early morning at 3:00 am and collected our baggages at the conveyor belt.We used airport paid tax services to book our cab for Maharaja hotel at Vasco da gama about 3 KM from airport.The taxi took 20 mins to reach the hotel by 4:00 am. We checked in the hotel and got keys,  room details like wifi and others at the counter. We were tired and slept to wake up at 10:00 am in the morning and got ready for the complimentary breakfast.
Next , we took another cab for our next hotel at Zense in calangut which was 15 KM away. The weather was breezy and raining lightly, we crossed valley and beautiful river Mandvy . We reached the hotel in an hour and again checked in at the new place.
We soon had a luncheon and rested in afternoon at the hotel and went for beach at calangute in the evening which was 15 mins away. My father and I played with the sea waves of beach for next 2 hour. We had dinner at the beach and did some shopping at the local stalls.We reached hotel back late in night and rested for the night.
4th Oct
We woke up in morning at 10:00 am , had sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and then used hotel swimming available at the floor. We had lunch and  went for another beach at BAGGA , some 30 mins from the hotel.However, we were stopped by travel holiday agents who took us to their hotel nearby Bagga beach for a 15 year holiday scheme. It was a beautiful plan but my father did not book it. We were dropped to Bagga beach where we enjoyed for next 3 hrs.My father and myself had a 30 mins run on the beach as well.We again had a sumptuous dinner and returned back to the holel
5th Oct
We woke up little early this morning and booked for a local travel agent for sight seing for fort and senquerium beach in the afternoon. We had dinner for local goan fish and prawns at one of the restaurant. The fort was magnificient overlooking the Arabian sea and had a lighthouse that served the Portuguese during the 16th Century for guiding the ships and water storage.We took some pictures and moved to senquerium beach in the late afternoon. We enjoyed and played in the beach , had some pictures and went back to hotel in the evening.
6th Oct
We have to checkout from Zense Hotel today, so we went walking  to nearby beach at candolim early in the morning.My father lifted me in his arms and took me inside the sea . I was scared and cried for some time but he wanted to teach me to be brave.  I made a big caste with canal that was able to withstand the waves hitting it. The castle stayed despite being hit by the waves until we left the beach.We returned back and again booked another local travel agent to leave the hotel to Panjim for Ginger hotel and local sight seing . We had lunch at the Zense hotel only and did the checkout formalities. The travel agent first took us to Srisanta Durga temple at calangute and then reached the hotel in an hour. We slept for a hour in the hotel and went for sightseeing . In 30 mins, we were at the old church goa and Saint st francis Xavier body still preserved. Next , we went for Mangesh temple in another 30 mins. We had plans for plantation and casino but dropped the plan as we were tired and father was not feeling well.
7th Oct
Today is the last day for the itinerary and we rested comfortably, ordered breakfast and coffee at the room. My father was busy in internet and myself/mother  in Television. We had to checkout to another hotel at OYO where we rested until evening. We had food in the nearby restaurant, bought cashewnuts at Zyntes which is famous in GOA.We also moved on the streets for an hour . We packed our stuffs at hotel and proceeded to airport at 9:30 pm. We reached airport in 30 mins , did all baggage checkin, boarding pass and security checks and finally waited for the indigo flight to arrive at 1:00 am morning. We had some food at airport and father started reading the book which he had bookmarked halfway. He completed the book in the airport only. We reached Hyderabad airport by 2:30 am, picked up our baggages and used Meru car services to reach our home at 4:00 am morning.
End of Vacation
We woke up at 10:am in the morning, ordered food from outside and rested for the day at Hyderabad.My Goa vacation thus came to end with fabulous beaches, luxurious hotel stay, sumptuous breakfast and luncheon, great breaches, some local shopping, temples and churches and excellent flight travel.
